Refund policy

As part of shopping with the Hushfall Archives, you understand and accept the terms within this policy at time of purchase.

Please note that returns are currently only available in the USA.

At a glance:

  • Returns and exchanges are accepted through our return portal.
  • Your return or exchange costs $6 to cover shipping costs & our restocking fees.
  • Starting on the day you receive your package, you have 7 days to submit a return or exchange request.
  • Returns or exchanges must be unworn, unwashed, and in resalable condition.
  • If your package is missing an item, incorrect, or damaged, please use the return portal comments to tell us what went wrong. We’ll make it right!
  • If your package is misdelivered, lost, or stolen, please open a claim with the postal carrier that handled your package, and send an email to hello@hushfallarchives.com. We are not responsible for lost or stolen packages.

Returns within the USA

To create a return or exchange:

  1. Within 7 days of receiving your package, submit a return or exchange request through our portal. We ask for a small fee of $6 to cover shipping & fees.
  2. A member of our team will approve your return request based on information given. 
  3. We’ll email you a return shipping label with instructions.
  4. Pack and ship your return or exchange items to us in resalable condition, as defined below.
  5. Once our warehouse receives and inspects your package, you’ll be refunded or your exchanges shipped out. You can see the current status of your return by logging in to the return portal.
  6. For health & safety reasons, socks are not eligible for a return, even if unworn.

Returns outside the USA

Unfortunately, we are not able to accept international returns at this time. Before placing your order, please review our size guide and double-check your cart to ensure your items, address, and payment info is correct. If you are unhappy with your purchase, please reach out to us at hello@hushfallarchives.com and we will do our best to make things right for all parties.

Additional Information

Resalable condition

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused (other than to try on), with tags, and in its original packaging with any and all accessories it came with. Missing garment bags, items, strong smells, or animal hair of human or petkind will incur additional fees or nullify your return request.

7-day timeline

We ask that you submit a return or exchange request within 7 days of receiving your order.  Once your return is approved and a return label sent to you, the label is valid for 7 days after time of creation. Failure to hand off the return package to the postal carrier with a valid label forfeits a full refund and increases the chances of a lost or missing package. Self-created labels outside our return portal or packages sent to us without first submitting a portal request nullifies returns or refunds.

Return & Exchange fee

Our return fee of $6 covers only part of the cost of return labels, stocking fees, packing fees, and reshipment fees with us. These often average out to $12-20, and we only ask that you split this cost with us so we can keep our prices low and warehouse well-paid. Thank you for supporting us in every part of this process!

Package issues: damaged, flawed, incorrect, or missing items

If your order arrives damaged or flawed, or with missing or incorrect items, please submit a return portal request immediately. We are almost always able to make this right, but please inspect your order upon receipt and verify it’s correct before wearing it around town. If the product is worn or washed, it is not eligible for damaged or defective status, nor is it eligible for return or refund.

While we always listen to feedback regarding the quality of our garments, damage incurred while wearing or laundering the garment does not a defective item make. Please carefully examine the garment care instructions on the listings and your tags, reference our size & care guide, or email us at hello@hushfallarchives.com with any questions or concerns you may have.

Package issues: Lost or stolen packages

In the case of lost or stolen packages, mis-entered addresses, or other delivery issues, please contact & open a claim with the carrier that handled the package, and contact us with your order number at hello@hushfallarchives.com. A carrier confirmation of lost or stolen package is required for us to process a refund or replacement for your order. Most postal carriers take 90 to 120 days to fully file and approve any package claims, but we are able to make things right before the claim is finalized in most cases. Thank you for being proactive and patient, as we know this process is as frustrating for you as it is for us!

Exceptions / non-returnable items

If your item has been worn, washed, ironed, or has gone on any other covert adventures, we cannot accept a return or process a refund under any circumstances. Items with dirt, body oils, food stains, and/or excessive damage are not eligible for a return or refund. Please be sure to carefully inspect your garment before trying it on. We cannot accept returns for socks for health & safety reasons.

Exchanging out-of-stock product

For 30 days after every release, we hold a small number of items behind to ensure our customers can return or exchange their products as needed. However, if a product is entirely sold out, there is a chance we may not have an equivalent item available for an exchange. Always request an exchange or return through our portal and we’ll do our best to accommodate, or come to a solution that makes everyone happy. Proof of Purchase

Returns & exchanges are only available with an associated order number or email address. In the case you were gifted an order, please reach out to us via email with this information and we can process your return or exchange for store credit as needed.

Refunds

Returns are automatically refunded to the original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post a refund, but if more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve processed your return, please contact us at hello@hushfallarchives.com.

Preorders

Preorders are non-refundable, but we are always available for a return for store credit, or exchange for another size. Often, a bank will not process a refund after 120 days of original purchase. Once you receive your package, please use the return portal as normal regardless of preorder status. If you are unhappy with your preorder, please reach out to us as soon as possible in response to your original order email.

Final Sale

Items that are clearly marked as final sale in the product listing are not available for a return, exchange, or refund.

Return to Sender Packages

If your package is returned to us, please reach out to us in response to your original order email. In cases of incorrect address, failed package pickup, etc. the customer is liable for paying the additional shipping cost if you'd like your package re-shipped.
